81. At-Takweer - (The Overthrowing)

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.

Recitation:

English Yusuf Ali: [81:1]

When the sun (with its spacious light) is folded up;

Recitation:

English Yusuf Ali: [81:2]

When the stars fall, losing their lustre;

Recitation:

English Yusuf Ali: [81:3]

When the mountains vanish (like a mirage);

Recitation:

English Yusuf Ali: [81:4]

When the she-camels, ten months with young, are left untended;

Recitation:

English Yusuf Ali: [81:5]

When the wild beasts are herded together (in the human habitations);

Recitation:

English Yusuf Ali: [81:6]

When the oceans boil over with a swell;

Recitation:

English Yusuf Ali: [81:7]

When the souls are sorted out, (being joined, like with like);

Recitation:

English Yusuf Ali: [81:8]

When the female (infant), buried alive, is questioned -

Recitation:

English Yusuf Ali: [81:9]

For what crime she was killed;

Recitation:

English Yusuf Ali: [81:10]

When the scrolls are laid open;

Recitation:

English Yusuf Ali: [81:11]

When the world on High is unveiled;

Recitation:

English Yusuf Ali: [81:12]

When the Blazing Fire is kindled to fierce heat;

Recitation:

English Yusuf Ali: [81:13]

And when the Garden is brought near;-

Recitation:

English Yusuf Ali: [81:14]

(Then) shall each soul know what it has put forward.

Recitation:

English Yusuf Ali: [81:15]

So verily I call to witness the planets - that recede,
